History

Vertique was originally created by entrepreneur Jay Stingel, who founded the company and developed the cascading warehouse technology that is the basis of Vertique.

The Stingel family operated the company as a family business until 2010 when it was purchased by ITW. Members of the Stingel family, including Jay’s son Jeff, are still involved in the day-to-day operations and management.
