Maspex starts the expansion of the logistics facility in Tychy

Maspex Wadowice Group, one of the major Polish companies in the food industry, reaffirms and further strengthens its leadership in Central / Eastern Europe in the food and beverage industry of these countries, also thanks to the strategic solutions implemented in the logistics field with the aid of System Logistics.

As a matter of fact, the Polish company entrusted System Logistics with the implementation of the expansion project for its logistics facility at the Tychy plant.

The current warehouse, always built by System Logistics, that actually counts 15 double-depth and 36 m high stacker cranes, over 54,000 pallet slots and 4 automated floors to support order preparation, shall be completed with 9 additional stacker cranes, 34,560 pallet slots and an expanded picking automation system. The system will be further enhanced with 4 loops, where 58 SVL shuttles will operate, and an order preparation area of more than 11,000 square metres to host and implement different picking automation technologies.

The final system shall allow Maspex to attain a handling and shipping capacity of more than 8,000 pallets per day, with work peaks that may reach even 410 pallets per hour.

The plant expansion will take place during 2015, and all the facilities added will be fully and clearly integrated with the existing plant.

Once again, a leader in the food & beverage industry has relied on System Logistics's intra-logistics solutions for improving its production and distribution processes, thus fostering scalability, price worthiness and reliability over time.
